Geographical introduction:

Cox's Bazar district is a district under Chattagram administrative division. It is extendedbetween 20°43' and 21°56' north latitudes and in between 91°50' and 92°23' east longitudes. Its area is about 2,491.86 square kilometers. It is bounded by Chattagram district on the north, Bandarban district, and Myanmar on the east,  Bay of Bengal on the west and South. The longest sea beach of the world belongs to Cox's Bazar (111km).

Main islands of Cox's Bazar: Moheshkhali, Kutubdia, Sonadia, Shahpuri, St. Martin's Island (coconut jinzira), and Matarbari.

Major rivers of Cox's Bazar: Matamuohuri, Bakkhali, Rezu Canal, Naf River, Moheshkhali  andKutubdia Channel.


Main forests: Fulchari range, Bhumariya-Ghona range, Meher-Ghona range, Bakkhali range.
